Generation is Saint Vincent's literary magazine with a tradition that
spans more than half a century. The production is student-centered and is published annually. Generation displays all types
of student productions including artwork, photography, fiction, and poetry. The 2008 issue of Generation will be published
and available to the public on May 1, with a reception at the Gristmill.
How does Generation work?
The school's
literary magazine is produced by officers and staff composed of Saint Vincent College students. Every year, students begin
to work on the literary magazine at the beginning of the spring semester. Staff members are presented with various responsibilities
to promote interest in the magazine. The staff of Generation reviews all submissions for the literary magazine and selects
the works which will appear in the magazine. The students on the Generation staff are held accountable for completing the
final product that will be reproduced and available for the campus.
How do students become involved with the literary
magazine?
Students who are interested in becoming involved with the literary magazine can choose to participate in
the publication of Generation, by taking the magazine as a one-credit independent study or an extra-curricular activity.
